Black Bean & Ham
Ingredients
- 1 Can Black Beans
- 2 Bundles Pakchoi
- 4 Tomatoes
- 1 lb Ham
- Carrots
- 1 Medium Onion
- 2 Stalks Escallion
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Black Pepper to Taste
Black Bean & Ham Stew
This dish proves you can eat healthy on a budget
Ingredients
- 1 Can Black Beans
- 2 Bundles Pakchoi
- 4 Tomatoes
- 1 lb Ham
- Carrots
- 1 Medium Onion
- 2 Stalks Escallion
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Black Pepper to Taste
Instructions
Black Bean & Ham Stew
Chop pakchoi, onion, scallion, Garlic. Slice tomatoes, carrots and ham.
Heat pan till smoking and add a thin layer of coconut oil. Lightly fry ham. Add pakchoi and carrots. Steam for 5 mins. And season black pepper and salt to taste. Steam for another 5 mins. Garnish with sliced tomato and serve. Enjoy.
Notes
This meal came in at just under $1500 for a family of four. A healthy meal that provides many of our daily nutrient requirements including Vitamin K, A, C, calcium, folate potassium, phosphorous, zinc fibre carbohydrates protein and the all-important antioxidants to keep us looking firm and fresh. Not bad for under $1500.
