Why I Started This Blog
I started this blog at 53 years old, during one of the lowest and most uncertain chapters of my life. I had just lost my job and found myself having to start over, emotionally, financially, and spiritually, with no roadmap, no backup plan, and no idea what came next.
Every day felt like Groundhog Day. I was stuck in a routine that offered no joy, no direction, and no purpose. I loved my career as a swimwear and exotic costume designer, but the hustle had become exhausting, and I felt myself slowly slipping into depression. It reached a point where I was questioning not just my path, but my life.
So I decided to flip the switch. I chose rebirth, and everything changed. My eyes opened and every setback became a new opportunity. A new chance to start over. And just like that my life changed forever
50Plus Rebirth was born out of that decision. It became my lifeline, my anchor. It became a space where I could process my journey, speak my truth, and connect with others who were also finding the courage to begin again. What started as a whisper of hope in the dark has grown into a movement of strength, healing, and starting over, one honest story at a time.
Life is a tapestry woven with both triumphs and tribulations. Sometimes our greatest challenges become the very catalysts for our most powerful transformations. This blog invites you to walk with me through a journey of resilience, healing, and personal rebirth. Although these words are written especially for women over 50, the truth is, starting over has no age limit.
If you’re here, you’re already on the path.
And you don’t have to walk it alone.
